Father Ted Colleton Scholarship is intended to help young people to learn about human life issues through research and writing, they will be inspired through this educational medium, to become involved in activities, within their schools or community settings, to restore respect for life.
Requirements: Eligible candidates must: Be a high school student in grade 11 or 12 in Canada
How to apply: *Submit one letter of reference from a school staff member or community representative *Submit a personal outline (follow the instruction on application) *Submit an essay of approximately 1200 words The essay theme or topic for this year’s program is the following: “Choose a feature film or documentary that deals with sensitive material regarding pregnancy and the abortion issue. Analyze the film as to its content, plot, and main characters and explain how it promotes a positive outlook about human life.”
Value: As many as three prizes are offered: $1500.00 first prize $800 second prize $500 third prize
