National Union Contest - Why Unions Matter added January 21, 2019
The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) is one of Canada's largest labour organizations with over 370,000 members. Our mission is to improve the lives of working families and to build a stronger Canada by ensuring our common wealth is used for the common good.
To help celebrate the countless ways in which unions have help spread this idea, NUPGE has been inviting all Canadians to share with us, in their own personal way, Why Unions Matter. We’ve received stories, pictures, videos, and songs, and we’re looking for more. Criteria: All entrants must be residents of Canada. Entries are subject to verification and may be declared invalid in NUPGE's sole discretion. Neither NUPGE elected officials, NUPGE staff members, nor immediate family members of NUPGE elected officials or staff members are eligible.
Deadline: July 5
How to apply: * Submissions may include videos, songs, artwork, music or some other creative form. NO POEMS! * Entries must be a maximum of 3 minutes long, or 300 words in length. * Videos must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or the online video-sharing service of your choice.
