Schulich Leader Scholarships

Schulich Leader Scholarships are the largest and most prestigious undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarships in Canada.

​Criteria:
  • Graduating high school or Cégep in Canada in the 2020/2021 academic year
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program at one of our partner universities
  • Meet the following criteria:
    1. Academic excellence, AND
    2. Leadership, charisma and creativity.
    Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.
  • Be entrepreneurial-minded and intend to pursue a career in one or more of the following focus areas:
    1. Technology;
    2. Engineering;
    3. Entrepreneurship and business enterprise;
    4. Applied scientific research.
We are NOT considering students who:
  • Focus on activism (environmental/political/societal)
  • Intend to become a practicing physician and/or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc.)
  • Intend to become a Professor and conduct theoretical research

Value:  value of up to $100,000 each


How to apply/ how to request a nomination:
  • Submit
    • a resume
    • a letter explaining how you fit the criteria and why you are the best candidate


Deadline:    November 27, 2020 - request school nomination
                   January 27, 2021  - deadline for schools to submit up to 4 nominations
                   February 17, 2021 - deadline to nominees to submit applications sent
