The award is given to a graduating student in recognition of outstanding service to their community.
There are 2 awards. School level: One graduate in each High School will be selected. A bursary of $100 will be issued.
Board Level: One candidate will receive an additional bursary of $1,000 plus another $1,000 donated to the recipients charity of choice.
Criteria
To be selected a student must (have): * accumulated a number of volunteer community service hours * experienced a variety of activities in these volunteer community service hours * applicants must have completed all the requirements for obtaining an OSSD, including the community service component

Incomplete application will not be considered. Winners are chosen by: school - the school award committee board - a committe from the board.
