The Rideau Township Historical Society (RTHS) was founded September 18, 1974 as an affiliate of the Ontario Historical Society to foster historical interest within the Township, which has since become part of the City of Ottawa. The Society’s objectives include the collection and preservation of information and the dissemination of material.
Criteria:
* St Mark’s graduating student
* Residing in the former Township of Rideau
(villages of North Gower, Manotick (west of Rideau River, including Long Island), Kars, Pierces Corners, and Burritts Rapids)
* Completed at least 1 history course with first class standing
* involved in the History department at St Mark’s
* planning post-secondary studies in history or related discipline
Value: $250 (subject to change)
