Brian Logan Memorial Award

Background: Brian Logan is a St Mark class of 2007 graduate. He was killed in a car accident on January 17, 2014. Brian worked in the trades as a stonemason. He is remembered as a free spirited, fun-loving and sensitive young man. "It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice" was not only Brian's motto, but also how he lived.

Criteria: This memorial fund will be granted to a student pursuing further education in a trade via college or apprenticeship.

  • Graduating student
  • Peer elected
  • No educational requirements
  • Must be enrolled in, or in the process of enrolling in an apprenticeship or college level trade program​
    • ex. carpentry, masonry, construction, electrician, plumbing, automotive technician, …
 
              !No recipient will be turned down for any reason except these stipulated above!
 
Why: This award is meant to recognize a charming, friendly, engaged, and – most importantly – caring individual. The recipient of this award must be a young student who embodies Brian’s motto. Brian taught his classmates how to be a true friend through one’s individual need not to be perfect, but to be immoveable in one's devotions to his/her friends and fellow students.

Value: $varies 

Process: The winner of this award will be chosen be his peers. The winner will be announced at the graduation ceremony.
